SPIRITUALITY
At Bartley we define Spirituality as:
A thoughtful awareness of the world beyond ourselves.
As part of a Year 6 RE lesson, children explored what they thought 'Spirituality' meant. They painted or drew pictures of their own personal spiritual belief. This was the starting point for our own school definition.

Our Beautiful School Grounds
Photos by Austin and Finn
We were asked to photograph things or places in school that we thought represented spirituality. The flowers felt very spiritual because of their colour; it was beautiful seeing them close up. Small, pink flowers looked like weeds at first and we took them for granted, but up close they are amazing. From a distance, daisies don’t always look like much but zooming in for a close up showed their extreme beauty. Laying on the grass was calming and peaceful. We walked around the environmental area which was relaxing and calm. Our photographs focus on spirituality and peace within nature.
