I am honoured to introduce myself as the Headteacher of Bartley Church of England Junior School.

It is a true privilege to lead such a vibrant and dynamic school, and I am excited to embark on a new and inspiring journey, supporting our children every step of the way.

Our vision:

"We are committed to providing excellence every day, so each child can achieve, be happy, and succeed in everything they do."

We aim to make learning meaningful, exciting and joyful—instilling the core knowledge and skills that will help your child progress.   Our goal is to offer our children experiences, opportunities, and challenges that will prepare them to become confident, respectful and capable young people, ready for whatever comes their way.

As a Church of England School, our values are deeply rooted in our Christian faith. Our vision includes:

"Our Christian values foster love for ourselves and each other."

We place particular emphasis on the values of friendship, trust, thankfulness, and responsibility, which guide both our ethos and daily practice.

We are proud of the positive learning environment we have cultivated, which was highlighted in our most recent Ofsted report. It was noted that “there are high expectations for all, and pupils rise to meet them with pride.” They also observed that “pupils thrive” and praised our school for ensuring that “nobody is left behind.” Ofsted also commented on the “excellent behaviour in class and around school,” underscoring the strong sense of respect and community that defines our school.

At Bartley, we have enthusiastic children, dedicated staff, an incredible school site, a rich curriculum, and engaging learning experiences that aim to make our school a positive place for everyone.

We would be delighted to welcome you to see us in action—please feel free to contact the school office to arrange a visit.
